BUILDING THE FUTURE YOU WANT
The right support at the right moment changes everything. I work with a small number of purpose-led founders and leaders at any one time - which means that when we work together, you have my full attention, not a fraction of it.
Hi, I'm Denyse, a strategic thinking partner for ambitious, purpose-led founders and leaders.
I work with people who are building the future they want - at a moment when this matters more than ever - and who know that getting there takes more than hard work and good intentions. It takes structure, strategy, and someone in your corner who's been there.
If you're not sure which of my services is right for you, that's completely fine - most people aren't when they first get in touch. We have a conversation and figure it out together. No awkward discovery call. No pressure. Just an honest conversation about where you are and what you need.
Strategic Growth Advisory
A trusted strategic thinking partner. In your corner.
This is the heart of what I do. We work together month by month — building the strategic foundations, reviewing progress, and making the decisions that move your business forward. Strategy, team, growth, leadership: whatever matters most right now. Between sessions, I'm available when something urgent comes up.
When Cat came to me, she'd just been made redundant during maternity leave and was facing the question of what to build next. She had strong PR expertise but no track record in the industry she actually cared about — sustainable textiles. Over the course of our first year working together, we designed a foundation year that gave her financial stability while she built her presence in a new sector. By the end of Year 2, she had twelve retained clients and turnover exceeding £30,000 a month.
Cassie thought she had a niche home decor brand with a ceiling on how big it could grow. A million dollars, maximum. What I saw was a cult brand with an intensely loyal customer base. The strategic reframe — and the cash flow forecasting that gave her the evidence to believe it — unlocked 80% year-on-year growth. Revenue hit $2.5 million last year.
Every client's journey is different. What's consistent is the relationship: a thinking partner who sees what you can't see from inside your own business, who brings genuine strategic depth, and who stays with you long enough for the work to compound.
Growth Strategy Day
Step back. See the whole picture. Leave with a plan.
This is a full day together — usually the starting point for everything that follows. You prepare beforehand so we use the time well. We work through where your business is, where you want it to be, and what needs to happen to close the gap. You receive a written follow-up with clear recommendations and a practical plan.
When Natalie got in touch during the pandemic, her usual routes to market — weddings and farmers' markets — were about to disappear. We spent a strategy day clarifying her positioning as a sustainable flower farmer, identifying three immediate revenue streams, and mapping out the brand strategy that would underpin everything she built next. Within a year, she had 300 weekly subscriptions generating £6,000 a week in recurring revenue.
Anna arrived in London from Ukraine through the Homes for Ukraine scheme, having left behind a successful catering business. Our strategy day focused on what was possible in circumstances she'd never imagined — identifying how the culinary traditions she carried with her could become the foundation of a new business. We mapped out a pop-up model that gave her income and flexibility without requiring a long-term commitment while she was longing for home. Within a year, Anna was running three pop-ups a week, employing other displaced Ukrainian women, and projecting more than £420,000 a year by the end of Year 2.
A Growth Strategy Day works for founders at an inflection point — whether that's preparing for B Corp, exploring a new market, reshaping the business around a clearer sense of purpose, or simply recognising that the next stage requires a different kind of thinking than the one that got you here.
Strategic Reset Session
A focused session for the decision that's keeping you up at night.
Sometimes there's one thing that needs to shift before everything else can move. A strategic choice you can't see clearly from inside the business. A positioning question that's been nagging at you. A conversation with your team or your board that you know needs to happen but you're not sure how to approach.
One of my clients — a premium lifestyle brand — came to me because conversion rates had halved after a website redesign and she couldn't work out why. When we looked at it together, the problem wasn't the website. It was the positioning. The brand had defaulted to one corner of its aesthetic, turning away three-quarters of the people it should have been reaching. That single diagnostic session reframed how she saw her entire business — and the repositioning that followed recovered more than £500,000 in lost revenue.
Before we meet, I'll ask you to complete a short form so we can make the most of our time together. We meet — usually online — and work through it together. You leave with a written summary: what we covered, what I'd recommend, and your next steps.
One session. CEO-level strategic thinking. Often the starting point for a longer relationship.
Board Chair & Non-Executive Director
A board that's a genuine growth asset.
I chair boards and serve as a Non-Executive Director for scaling businesses and purpose-led organisations that want their governance to be a source of strategic thinking, not just compliance.
My approach is grounded in eight years of lived CEO experience — including walking into a turnaround situation, stabilising the finances, rebuilding the team, and transforming the organisation's trajectory. I know what it's like to sit where the founder sits, and I bring that understanding to every boardroom conversation.
When Lucy's business grew beyond £1.25 million in revenue, the question of governance became real. How do you protect a mission as the business scales? How do you build a board that holds you to your vision, not just your numbers? We're now exploring how to mission-lock her business — embedding its purpose into the legal structure so that what she's built can't be diluted by future decisions or future ownership.
If you're looking for a chair or NED who brings real commercial experience and a values-driven perspective to the decisions that matter most, I'd welcome a conversation.
