Purpose-Led Business Coaching
For founders and leaders building the future they want - who care deeply about what they're building and want ongoing strategic support to get there - at a moment when that matters more than it ever has.
Cat was put in touch with me by an existing client. Her second daughter was a few weeks old and she'd just been made redundant from an in-house PR role. Her confidence had been hit hard, and she was facing some big decisions at a point when everything felt uncertain.
We met for a half-day session to talk through where she was and what she wanted to build. The obvious path was a generalist PR agency - use her existing network, win some clients. Safe, sensible, and the advice most people would have given her.
But within the first hour, it was clear Cat had very little enthusiasm for that direction. When she mentioned her degree in Sustainable and Ethical Fashion - a qualification she'd never used professionally - her energy shifted completely. For the first time, Cat was talking about something that mattered to her deeply.
We designed a foundation year: retained clients from her existing network to provide financial stability, while she systematically built her presence in the sustainable textiles industry through conferences, desk research, and a brand designed for her target market. By the end of Year 1, she had five retained clients. By the end of Year 2, she had twelve, with turnover exceeding £30,000 a month. By Year 3, she was employing Account Managers, rebranding for larger clients, and pursuing B Corp accreditation. Projected revenue for 2026: over £500,000.
That transformation happened over three years of working together, month by month. You can read Cat's full story here.
That's Business Coaching
What you've just read is what purpose-led business coaching looks like in practice. A relationship that builds over time, grounded in your vision and your values, with someone alongside you who brings strategic depth and lived CEO experience to the decisions that matter most.
This is for founders who want their business to be aligned with their deeply held purpose and values - and who know that building something meaningful takes more than hard work and good intentions. It takes structure, strategy, and the right support at the right moment.
How It Works
We begin with a full review of your business - the numbers, the market, the team, the brand - to build a clear picture of where things stand. From there, we develop a vision script for the next one to three years - a clear, personal articulation of the future you're building toward - and a strategy to get there, with goals you can measure progress against.
That strategy becomes the work of our regular two-hour coaching sessions. Each session opens with a review of the targets we agreed last time, so there's real accountability built into the rhythm. From there, we work through whatever needs attention - strategy, growth, leadership, team, finances, problem solving - whatever will help you to move things forward.
Between sessions, you can get questions answered as they come up, within a 15-minute boundary. And I send a weekly check-in email so you can tell me how things are going and stay on track with the plan. The relationship and rhythm are consistent, meaning you're never working through this alone.
Two Ways to Work Together
Monthly coaching gives you our regular two-hour sessions, the weekly check-in, and the ability to get questions answered between sessions.
Coaching with dedicated strategic support adds two hours a month for additional strategic work - a brand strategy document, detailed feedback on a specific project, guidance through something like onboarding your first employees. Some clients use it for strategy documents. Others use it for detailed feedback on plans, pitches, or briefs. Others use it when they're navigating something for the first time and want me alongside them through the process. It's flexible - the hours are there for whatever moves your business forward that month.
Both options include the same two-hour coaching sessions and weekly check-in.
Is This For Me?
If you're building something purposeful and want strategic support to get there, the best place to start is a 45-minute consultation call with me. We'll talk through where your business is and what you're looking for, and work out together whether business coaching is the right approach.
Choose business coaching when:
You're building something and want to get it right from the start - you've got a vision and the drive to match, and you want strategic support to turn it into a business that's aligned with your purpose and values from the ground up.
You're growing and want to grow well - in the early stages, it's easy to lose sight of what's working and drift from the vision that got you started. Coaching gives you the clarity to make decisions based on evidence rather than guesswork, and the confidence to stay true to what you're building.
You're ready to step into leadership - you're moving from doing everything yourself to building a team, learning to delegate, and leading - and you want support through that transition.
You care about purpose as much as profit - you want to build a business that's meaningful to you and makes a genuine difference to the wider world, and you want that commitment built into the strategy, not added afterwards.
If that sounds like where you are, I'd welcome a conversation.
Your Questions About Business Coaching Answered
-
I was the CEO of a mission-led organisation for eight years - leading it through turnaround and significant financial challenges to sustainable growth. That means I think across the whole business: strategy, finances, team, brand, leadership. I bring lived experience of running a business, not just frameworks for talking about one.
-
When I talk about purpose, I mean it in the fullest sense - building a business that's both meaningful to you and that makes a genuine difference to the wider world. Purpose-led coaching takes seriously the impact you have on people and the planet, and makes that central to the strategy we build together.

Business coaching is an ongoing relationship focused on growing your business and developing as a leader, with monthly sessions and a structured plan. Business consulting is a defined project with a specific deliverable - a roadmap, a strategy, a positioning. Strategic counsel is a thinking partnership for the decisions that matter most, suited to established businesses where the foundations are strong. Many clients move between these over time as their needs change.

I work with any organisation driven by purpose - businesses, charities, social enterprises, community organisations. The approach is the same: understanding where you are, building a vision for where you're heading, and creating a plan to get there.
-
There's a minimum commitment of three months - enough time for the work to take shape and for you to see what it produces. Most clients work with me for at least a year, and many continue for two or three years or more. The most valuable work happens over time - the compounding effect of good decisions, made consistently, with the right support.

I’m based at The Projects, a certified B Corp and accessible workspace in Brighton's Lanes, just minutes from the seafront and a short walk from the train station.
If we’re unable to meet in person, monthly sessions work well online.

Yes. I work with clients across the UK and internationally - including the US, Canada, and Europe - not just those in London, Brighton and the South East of England.
If we’re unable to meet in person, monthly sessions work well online, and the weekly check-in keeps us connected between sessions regardless of geography.

Business coaching ranges from £575 to £1,750 a month, on a sliding scale. A £250,000 business and a £5 million business require different levels of strategic thinking, financial oversight, and leadership development, and the pricing reflects that. Dedicated strategic support is available from £250 a month on top.
