Purpose-Led Business Consulting

Defined projects with actionable deliverables for purpose-led founders and leaders who need specific expertise applied to solving a big challenge - at a moment when getting it right really matters.

Cassie makes home decor in the US with a kind of otherworldly glamour. Imagine what Florence Welch would buy for her home and you're close. Dark, botanical, with a witchy creative flair that captures something before other art forms have caught on. Her brand was a cultural fairytale. When it was featured in the New York Times, it went viral, and she found herself unprepared for dealing with the challenges of superfast growth.

Sixty per cent growth, year on year. Inventory needed more quickly, products taking six to nine months from design to warehouse, and demand outpacing her ability to fund it. Meanwhile Cassie was pouring her vision into every campaign brief she wrote for her agencies, and watching the work come back as a version of the brand she didn't recognise. Every piece of marketing that missed the mark was money spent reaching the wrong people. She cared deeply about what she was building, and she wanted someone who could see the full picture and help her work out what to do.

That's where I came in. I found that revenue could double without spending a penny more - simply by getting what she already had working properly. And underneath that was the real discovery: so much of what made this brand extraordinary was still in Cassie's head. Every agency was trying to represent something they'd never been given the language for. So I mapped a way to sustainable growth, and laid the groundwork that connected Cassie with a consultancy who've helped some of the world's most admired brands. The cultural fairytale will soon have a strategy to match.

That's Business Consulting

What you've just read is what business consulting looks like in practice. A defined challenge that needs focused strategic attention, and a concrete outcome at the end. The scope may develop or evolve by agreement, but this isn't an ongoing relationship in the way that business coaching or strategic counsel is. Nor is it a strategic plan, which sets out your long-term aims and goals over a defined period.

Business consulting is bounded. You bring me a challenge. I bring strategic expertise and eight years as a CEO. You leave with something practical and actionable - a springboard to build something stronger, more resilient, and more aligned with the future you want.

How It Works

Every consulting project is different, shaped by where your business is and what it needs. But the experience follows the same arc - five stages I've designed so that each one builds naturally on the last, and you always know where we are and what's coming next.

Review - We start by understanding what's really going on. The numbers, the market, the team, the brand - a clear, honest picture of where your business stands and what's driving the challenge you've brought me.

Reveal - Then I show you what I've found. The patterns, the connections, the things that only become visible when someone steps back and looks at the full picture. This is often where the real discovery happens - the way Cassie's growth challenge turned out to be a brand positioning gap hiding in plain sight.

Reimagine - With that shared understanding, we go bigger. What could this business become? What possibilities does this challenge open up? This is the creative, expansive stage - where a problem starts to look like an opportunity to build something better than what was there before.

Redesign - Now we build. A roadmap, a strategy, a positioning - whatever the project needs, with clear milestones and the financial clarity to back it up. Something actionable you can use straight away.

Realign - Finally, we put the new plan into action. Some founders and leadership teams lead much of this work themselves, with guidance from me. Others ask me to run the whole process. Either works well, and this flexibility is one of the things that shapes the cost.

Is This For Me?

If something in your business needs to change, the best place to start is a 45-minute consultation call with me. We'll talk through where your business is and what you're looking for, and work out together whether business consulting is the right approach.

Choose business consulting when:

You're navigating rapid growth - revenue is climbing faster than your foundational systems can support, and you want to make sure the business you're building can sustain this and stay true to its purpose and values.

Circumstances have changed - the market has shifted, regulations have changed, a launch hasn't gone as planned, or the world has moved and your business needs to move with it.

You've hit a ceiling - momentum has stalled, you've hit a plateau or something isn't working the way it used to, and you want to understand why and what to do about it.

Purpose is calling - you want to put impact at the heart of your business, or make your purpose real in the way you operate, and you want help thinking through what that means in practice.

If that sounds like where you are, I'd welcome a conversation.
